What we’ll do..
We will learn how to prepare and cook a hearty traditional Irish Stew and bake Kate’s famous Irish homemade brown bread together in person at Kate’s kitchen in her Kilcolgan home in Co Galway. Kate will give her kitchen guests hands on experience of preparing and cooking this healthy and nutritious dish using her own traditional recipe handed down to Kate from her grandmother. Guests will learn which vegetables to use and what cut of lamb gives the best results.
And then, whilst the old fashioned Irish stew is cooking Kate will teach you how to bake her famous Irish brown bread. Best of all, when the stew is cooked we will sit down and enjoy a traditional Irish feast and refreshments of course!
It isn’t all about the cooking either, Kate will share lots of tips from her experience over the years, such as how to add different ingredients to your recipe repertoire or how to switch the dish to vegetarian Irish stew or even vegan Irish stew – so you can host an Irish feast from the comfort of your own home.
Kate says she loves to see the faces full of excitement and joy at the sight of the finished product – nutritious hearty Irish stew accompanied by homemade brown bread. And best of all we have lots of fun!
Accompany Kate in her own kitchen cookery classes and watch her entertain and educate at the same time…. it will be fun !!!
