Luxury Christmas Mince Pies
Selection of Kate's Handmade Christmas Mince Pies.
Kate's homemade mince pies are very popular and despite the name, contain no meat! Mince pie are an English tradition but are widely enjoyed in Ireland.
The mince pies are filled with "mincemeat" which is a luxury mix of fruits, nuts, spices and vegetable fat. The original English mince pies were usually made with suet (derived from animal fat) and often felt heavy or stodgy.
Kate's Irish Mince pies freeze very well and so can be stored for a long time.
They are best served hot with cold whipped cream or custard. Yum!!
